①液体在经过滤或沉淀加过滤后才进入输水管道，这是最常用的一种方法，必须经常查看、清理沉淀和过滤设备，使它们始终保持良好的技术状态。②适当提高输水能力，减少系统堵塞。③将滴头出水口朝上安放，定期清洗毛管，减少堵塞。④对滴灌水作化学处理，每天向滴灌系统灌0.001%氯溶液（即家用的漂白粉稀液）20分钟，它能明显地减少管壁上的黏性沉积物，防止堵塞。⑤测定水质，避免使用含铁、硫化氢、丹宁酸多的水滴灌，容易造成堵塞。⑥不能通过滴灌系统施用磷肥。磷会在灌溉水中与钙反应形成沉淀物质，堵塞滴头。其他化肥要完全溶于水才能进行滴灌施肥。
