Description: Irrigation straight PE pipe generally refers to HDPE high-density polyethylene straight pipe made of virgin HDPE material. It is widely used as main pipes and branch pipes in drip irrigation / micro-sprinkler irrigation systems. Unlike drip tape and drip irrigation pipe (with built-in drippers), it has no built-in water outlets.

1. Application

Water-saving irrigation projects: For farmland, orchards and greenhouses, serving as main pipes and branch pipes of drip and micro-sprinkler systems to deliver irrigation water and water-fertilizer mixed solution.

Landscaping: Main water supply pipes for garden irrigation and seedlings.

Farmland water supply: Water transmission pipelines from shallow well pump houses to fields.

Others: Supporting pipelines for small water supply & drainage and water treatment equipment.

Features: Convey pressurized water and distribute water flow to each drip tape / drip irrigation pipe / sprinkler. It can be buried underground or laid overhead on the ground.

2. Types

1. By raw material Virgin HDPE straight pipe: Made of raw high-density polyethylene with carbon black added for anti-aging. High strength and weather resistance, the first choice for bidding projects.

Recycled / composite PE pipe: Mixed with recycled materials, low in price but prone to aging and cracking. Not recommended for formal water conservancy projects.

2. By nominal pressure (PN, common irrigation specifications) PN6: 0.6MPa PN8: 0.8MPa (most widely used for irrigation) PN10: 1.0MPa PN12.5: 1.25MPa (for high pressure and large elevation difference scenarios)

3. By nominal outer diameter (pipe size) DN20, DN25, DN32, DN40, DN50, DN63, DN75, DN90, DN110, etc. Small sizes DN20~DN50 are mostly used for branch pipes; DN63 and above for main pipes.

4. By usage mode Buried HDPE straight pipe: Buried underground, resistant to settlement and soil corrosion.

Surface HDPE straight pipe: Exposed laying, added with carbon black for UV resistance.

3. Main Performance (Virgin HDPE)

Material: High-density polyethylene (HDPE), black, with carbon black anti-aging agent, 100% virgin raw material.

Connection methods: Butt fusion, electrofusion connection, quick locking fittings for small diameters. Excellent sealing performance at joints.

Mechanical properties: Good toughness and impact resistance. Resist uneven ground settlement and hard to break. Better flexibility than steel and PVC pipes.

Corrosion resistance: Resistant to acid, alkali and soil corrosion, non-rusting, suitable for saline-alkali farmland.

Hydraulic property: Smooth inner wall, low head loss, low energy consumption for water delivery and less scaling.

Applicable temperature: -20℃～60℃

Service life: Up to 50 years for buried virgin material pipes under normal conditions; 10~20 years for exposed surface installation.
