Description: Commonly known as water delivery soft hose, sprinkler soft hose or layflat hose. It is a flat PE plastic layflat hose without drippers. It expands when filled with water and turns flat after water drainage. Widely used for branch water conveyance in field sprinkler and drip irrigation systems. Low cost and easy to roll up for storage.

1. Application

Branch water conveyance for sprinkler / drip irrigation systems of grain and cash crops in farmland (corn, potato, watermelon, medicinal herbs).

Temporary irrigation projects and mobile irrigation; conveying water and fertilizer mixture from pump houses and filters to field water distribution points.

Temporary water supply for seedling bases and open-air nurseries.

Emergency drought resistance and temporary farmland water diversion.

Features: Lightweight, can be emptied and rolled up for recycling after use. Suitable for low-pressure systems, not for high-pressure or buried applications.

2. Types

1. By raw material Virgin-material layflat hose: Made of brand-new virgin PE resin, high tensile strength, aging-resistant and crack-resistant. Preferred for engineering bidding projects.

Recycled-material layflat hose: Mixed with recycled plastic, low price, easy to pulverize under sunlight. Mostly used for short-term simple projects.

2. By pressure rating (common specifications) 0.2MPa (2 bar): Low pressure, short-distance farmland use, most common 0.3MPa (3 bar): Medium pressure, for slightly longer delivery distance 0.4MPa (4 bar): Heavy-duty type, for sites with moderate elevation difference

3. By size (folded width) Folded width: 63mm, 80mm, 100mm, 125mm, 160mm, 200mm; Corresponding sizes: 2 inch, 2.5 inch, 3 inch, 4 inch, 5 inch, 6 inch.

4. By surface structure Smooth layflat hose: Smooth inner wall with low head loss; Reinforced layflat hose: With woven fiber reinforcement layer, higher tensile strength and burst resistance, selected for long-distance water conveyance.

3. Main Performance (Virgin PE Layflat Hose)

Material: Polyethylene (PE). Virgin material mixed with carbon black for UV resistance; reinforced type has built-in polyester woven reinforcement layer.

Working pressure: 0.2～0.4MPa for low-pressure water delivery. Overpressure operation is strictly prohibited.

Shape characteristics: Flat when empty, cylindrical when filled with water. Light weight, convenient for transportation, laying and recycling.

Hydraulic performance: Smooth inner wall, low flow resistance and unobstructed water delivery.

Weather & corrosion resistance: Resistant to acid and alkali in soil, UV-resistant for outdoor use. Poor wear resistance; easy to be cut by sharp stones.

Operating temperature: 0～55℃. Flexibility decreases in low temperature; drain completely for storage in winter.

Service life: 1～3 growing seasons outdoors for unreinforced virgin material hose; 3～5 years for reinforced virgin material hose.

Connection method: Matched with quick tees, barbed fittings and clamp couplings.
